Sorrt, you (and many others) left out the most important thing of all. It is that the comon eye diseases, AMD and Glaucoma, are silent and give no warning of their presence. Only a prosesional exam will reveal them before it is too late for succwssful intervention. They don’t “bother” you until your sight has started to fail.

That’s a good question. It sometimes seems that way. They say it is becoming an epidemic and without better understanding or tretament will become a huge long term care problem and expense.

Do you think there are more cases of Alzheimer’s because people are living longer? Or is it more like even when you take that into account it is becoming more common?
